This scene is inspired by the classic Animated film Ghost in the Shell.

The environment was modeled in Maya, imported into the Unreal Engine as static meshes where textures, lighting, and shaders were applied.

A video of this environment in motion can be seen in the film section.

Brought to you by a renegade group of developers that took over a floor in the EA Redwood Shores Headquarters in order to create the scariest game you'll EVER play!

A 3d Model based on Gears of War Architecture. I was really impressed with the 2d Gears of war concept art by John Wallin Liberto and the architecture in the game so I set off to build a high res 3d model in Maya. This project was also a way for me to try out some new techniques in high resolution Hard Surface modeling.

I used the active smooth script along with the insert edge loops option in Maya to create the geo then imported it all into zbrush for small details and smoothing, then back out to maya for rendering. I used the camera projection method to texture this beast and re projected the texture back onto the geo from a fixed camera and rendered it all out with Mental Ray.

I created this scene after seeing some amazing 2d concept art from Irrational Games's Bioshock. I wanted to make a 3d version of the environment using geo that is low poly enough to be used in a next gen game.

It was also good practice using normal maps and various shader effects. Maya and photoshop were used to create this piece. I used a technique of projecting the texture from the camera on to the Geo and this is the final render using Turtle.

A gallery of art assets created between 2003 and 2005 during my time working for 'Uncle Sam'' on the Official Game of the united States Army. Hooah!

I do miss having the cool Department of Defense badge to use at US airports, but I never found out what top secret experiments were taking place on the 13th floor.
